Hatboro Police Department Joins CrimeWatch

Hatboro Police Chief Mark Ruegg said the department's page on the crime reporting network went live Tuesday.

HATBORO, PA —The Hatboro Police Department can now be found on the CrimeWatch Network.

Police Chief Mark Ruegg said the police department went live Tuesday on the crime reporting page, which the portal can be accessed at www.hatboropolice.org.

Ruegg said the portal will be the police department's primary source for sharing information with the public.

“I encourage all residents of Hatboro to go to www.hatboropolice.org and subscribe to our portal," Chief Ruegg said. "CrimeWatch allows our department to connect directly with our residents, share and receive information, and build trust through transparency. Working in partnership with our community and harnessing the power of technology, we can work together to prevent crime, quickly apprehend those who commit it and keep the residents of Hatboro and all who visit safe.”

He said the portal allows the police department to share emergency alerts in real-time with the public, directly to their inbox.

The portal also connects to our department’s social media sites, so important information is disseminated quickly across multiple media platforms.

The Hatboro Police Department's CrimeWatch Portal will serve as a "conduit for community engagement and communication."
