Hatboro Radio Station Seeks Daytime DJs

HATBORO, PA —If you have an ear for music, WRDV-FM may have a place for you.

The York Road radio station is seeking on-air hosts to fill daytime slots during the week at its all-volunteer station. And you don't even need experience.

"How would you like to join the all-volunteer staff at 'RDV Radio and share the fun and satisfaction of being an on-air host?" the station said in a press release. "You might be just who we're looking for."

The station's format is Big Band and Swing music as well as the vocalists from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s.

"It's music that deserves to be kept alive, music that our faithful listeners depend on us to air," the station said.

The station plays the format from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

WRDV-FM can be found on the dial at 89.3 for Warminster/Hatboro, 107.3 for Philadelphia, 97.1 for Bensalem, and on WLBS-FM at 91.7 for Bristol/Levittown.

The station said it plays everything from the old standards of the 1920s and 1930s thru the Jazz Age, Big Band era, and the early days of Blues, Rock & Roll, and Country. The playlist also includes gospel, soul, and even some polka.

The weekend format includes rock 'n' roll, rhythm and blues, Doo Wop, acapella, local groups, soul, and rare oldies.

Anyone who is interested in starting a career in radio or seeking a hobby can reach out with training provided by experienced radio hosts.
