Hatboro Voting On Preliminary Municipal Budget Monday
Hatboro Borough Council is expected to adopt the 2025 budget before final approval in December.

HATBORO, PA —The budget workshop has been completed. Now comes the next step.
The Hatboro Borough Council is expected to vote at its regular meeting on Monday night on the preliminary adoption of its 2025 municipal budget.
The council held its 2025 budget workshop meeting on Oct. 30.

At that meeting, the finance committee and staff reviewed department requests for 2025 as well as other expenditures, revenue, debt service, library, pool, and fire tax line items/requests.
No details have been revealed by borough officials about whether taxes will be rising, declining or remaining stable.

After the preliminary budget has been adopted by the council, there will be a 10-day inspection period for residents before the final adoption of the budget and tax ordinance at the council's December meeting.
The 2023 municipal budget for Hatboro was $7.56 million. The budget included a $115 tax increase for residents.
That amounted to a $9.58 monthly increase for a homeowner with a property assessed at $136,708.
At last year's budget presentation, borough officials talked about how Hatboro —like other towns throughout Montgomery County —was hit hard by inflation, the rising cost of supplies, and economic uncertainty.
