Hatboro Woman Reportedly Suing Horsham Employer For Discrimination

Two Horsham insurance companies are under fire from a former employee who is alleging discriminatory practices.

A Hatboro woman is suing her former Horsham employers for discrimination.

Kimberly Mackintosh filed a suit against Horsham insurance companies Hull & Co. Inc. and Brown & Brown Inc. on September 28, according to the Pennsylvania Record.

In the complaint filed in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Mackintosh claims co-workers made “hostile” comments toward her for parking in the handicap space, even though she was allowed to park there.

When she reported the issue, she was fired on November 21, 2014, the complaint alleges.

She also alleges that Chris Votta, her supervisor, told her she needed to work more than 40 hours a week, which posed a hardship due to medical issues, the report states.

Mackintosh is asking for reimbursement for all pay she would have received, along with legal fees and compensation for punitive damages, according to the report.
