Herbicide Spraying Starting At Miller Meadow
Hatboro officials said an herbicide will be applied on parts of the meadow Tuesday afternoon.

HATBORO, PA —Borough officials have said that work will begin Tuesday to remove the invasive mugwort plant that has overrun portions of Miller Meadow.
Officials said they've received notice that Land Stewards will begin the invasive species removal project on Tuesday afternoon.
To completely remove the invasive mugwort plants, Land Stewards will be applying herbicides in the rear portions of the meadow.

Beginning Tuesday afternoon, borough officials ask residents and visitors to avoid Miller Meadow during this time.
This will allow representatives from Land Stewards to mobilize, prepare the site, and begin work efficiently.

Hatboro Public Works will be placing a snow fence around the affected area once it is treated to keep wildlife away from plants that have been sprayed.
Land Stewards is a highly experienced ecological-based landscape firm that specializes in design, construction, restoration, and management of meadows and open space.
Their firm was carefully selected by Borough Council to conduct the invasive species removal which has been widely requested by residents, officials said.
