Horsham Apartment Searched In Connection With Abington Teen's Murder: Report

A person of interest in the case accompanied investigators on a search of a Horsham apartment on Tuesday, according to a report.

HORSHAM, PA -- Authorities searched a Horsham apartment on Tuesday as part of the continuing investigation into the murder of Abington teenager Grace Packer, according to a report.

The Bucks County Courier Timesreports that a woman who is a person of interest in the case was with investigators during the search. The woman's lawyer was also present.

The woman was reportedly involved in a relationship with Grace's mother, Sara Packer, and her boyfriend, Jacob Sullivan. The pair have been charged with beating, poisoning, torturing, and eventually strangling Grace to death last summer.

Police said that Sullivan and Packer attempted a suicide pact on Dec. 30 in the apartment, which is located on the 400 block of Summit Avenue. The woman was present that night, the report states.

The pair kidnapped Grace from her Abington home in July, and brought her to Richland in Bucks County, where they ultimately killed her. Officials said that they then dismembered her body and stored in cat litter before dumping her in the woods in Luzerne County, where she was discovered by hunters in October. Authorities were able to identify the body as Grace's in December.

A fundraiser called the "Abington Loves Grace Memorial Fund" will provide a scholarship to a student with special needs. According to Grace's friend Andrea Green-Adams, who launched the fundraiser, Packer was devoted to the special needs community.

"Everyone that knew Grace says that she was a sweet and kind young woman that had a heart for those with special needs," she wrote.

A total of $3,333 has been raised by 120 people since the fundraiser was launched.

A memorial service in Grace's honor is planned for Monday, January 16, at 1:30 p.m. in the New Life Church in Glenside. The church is located on 467 N. Easton Road.
