Horsham Farmers Winter Market Scrapped

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Residents looking forward to the Winter Horsham Farmers Market will have to wait for another season.

"It's okay...we'll be back," the Horsham Farmers Market said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. "Unfortunately, we must cancel the Horsham Farmers Winter Market due to the construction of the Miracle Field."

The winter market was set to run from February through April.

The farmers market said details of its 2025 pre-season market being held on May 18 will be shared closer to the date.

Residents expressed disappointment about the cancellation.

"This really is disappointing," one poster stated. "I am surprised that's there is not an alternative that could be used once a month until the market opens for the season."

"It’s a shame it can’t be done in one of the school gyms in the township," another poster said.

"The township can’t provide a different space?" another poster said. "This is such a bummer."

Construction on the new Miracle Field of Horsham began last month.

Township officials stated at that time that the parking lot at Deep Meadow Park and the limestone walking trail behind the playground would be closed temporarily for a couple of weeks for the initial phase of construction of the new Miracle Field.

Through its affiliation with Horsham Little League, the Miracle Field of Horsham will provide opportunities for individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities to play baseball and softball in a safe and inclusive environment where they will find comfort, friendship, and a sense of belonging.

Horsham officials have said they're hoping the field can be the gem to upgrade township parks around, serving as the centerpiece for upgrades to Deep Meadow Park.
