Horsham Gets $3 Million From State For Intersection Improvements

Horsham will receive $3 million funding from the state to improve two key intersections in the township.

HORSHAM, PA — The governor's office announced on Friday that 45 transportation projects around the state had received funding, including several in Montgomery County and one in Horsham.

Horsham will receive $3 million for improvements at the Blair Mill Road, Witmer Road, and Commerce Avenue intersection, as well as the Blair Mill Road and Route 611 intersection.

“Our multimodal investments support important projects that help residents and local economies,” said Governor Wolf in a statement. “We are making possible improvements that will bring significant benefits to these communities.”

Projects in 22 counties around the state benefited from the funding, officials said. A total of $41.5 million has been invested.

Funding comes from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Multimodal Transportation Fund.

Projects were chosen based on safety benefits, along with the potential to increase job creation, energy efficiency, and overall sustainability, authorities said.
