HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The tax man won't be taking more municipal taxes from residents this year.

Horsham Township is holding the line on municipal taxes for 2025 with Horsham Township Council having adopted a final $22,140,491 2025 municipal budget with no tax increase and a balanced budget with a real estate tax of 2.23 mills.

Besides the municipal tax rate, the taxes are $6,674.49 (33 percent) to the Hatboro-Horsham School District, $945.49 to Montgomery County (11.62 percent), and $77.01 to Montgomery County Community College (0.95 percent), township officials said in a recent budget presentation.

Of the municipal budget, 47 percent is devoted to the Horsham Township Police Department while 18 percent goes to the public works department.

To balance the budget, township officials did make sacrifices.

Four township government positions were left unfunded. They included a police clerk, administrative clerk, event coordinator, and part-time fire marshal.

Horsham Township Council adopted the budget at its Dec. 11 meeting.
