Horsham Homes Without Power From Storm

Horsham ChATs said that numerous PECO customers are without power in the township on Tuesday morning.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — About 30 township homes are without power on Tuesday morning following a storm that produced gusty winds and heavy rain, officials said.

Horsham Community Police Services said the town was spared the worst of last night's storm.

Horsham ChATs said that 29 PECO customers are without power in our township. The greatest concentration is on Welsh Road between McKean and Tennis roads.

Officials said that PECO is estimating restoration by 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

For those without power, the Horsham Township Library will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday to charge electronic devices. The library is at 435 Babylon Road.

About 15,000 residents are currently in Montgomery County without power due to the storm, Horsham ChATs said.

Surrounding townships are reporting roads closed due to trees and wires being down.

Temperatures are expected to reach the low 40s later on Tuesday. Gusty winds are expected to continue in the morning, but no precipitation is in the forecast.
