Horsham Honored For Open Space Preservation

Horsham Township also received an award from the Greater Montco Chamber for fostering business growth.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The township is receiving recognition from two Montgomery groups for its work on open space preservation and creating a network for businesses.

Earlier this week, Horsham Township was recognized by College Settlement Summer Camp and Outdoor School as a Partner in Preservation for assisting to permanently preserve and protect 30 acres used by Pennypack Farm & Education Center

"We are so happy to have been able to partner to permanently protect another 30 acres of open space in Horsham and thank College Settlement and Pennypack Farm for their vision and leadership in environmental and open space stewardship," officials said.

Horsham Township Council members Samantha Slaff, Ellen Zschunke, and Eric Glemser accepted the award along with Township Manager Bill Walker.

Last night The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County presented its President’s Award to Horsham Township for our leadership in the establishment of the Horsham Business Association and for our commitment to fostering business growth and community connection.

Council members Ellen Zschunke and Eric Glemser as well as Township Manager Bill Gildea-Walker and Director of Community & Economic Development Larry Burns accepted the award on behalf of the Township.

Meanwhile, on Nov. 15, The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County presented its President’s Award to Horsham Township for our leadership in the establishment of the Horsham Business Association and for a commitment to fostering business growth and community connection.
