HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Former Horsham Township Councilwoman Theresa Harmon was honored at the township council's meeting on Monday night.

At Monday night's meeting, Harmon was recognized for her time spent on the Horsham Township Council and presented her with a proclamation for her service.

"Join us in thanking and celebrating Theresa for her service to our community," township officials said. "We wish Theresa all the best in her new endeavors."

Harmon resigned in late April after serving on the council for three years. Her resignation was due to her family moving to another town.

She served on the Hatboro-Horsham School Board before joining the council. Harmon was also involved with her three sons in activities in the township for 24 years.

Harmon has previously thanked her council colleagues and past members like former Council President Mark McCouch. She also thanked Township Engineer Eric Garton, Solicitor Mary Eberle, Director of Administration Dennis Haggerty Jr., and Larry Burns, the township's director of community and economic development.
