Horsham Hopes To Fill 20-Plus Patrol Cars For Food Drive
The annual food drive takes place Saturday at the Horsham Giant Food Store. Donations benefit the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The goal this year is to top 20 patrol cars.
Last year, the Horsham Police Department and Horsham ChATs neared its collection record of 22 patrol cars. This year, they would like to reach that goal and then some.
The annual Pack the Patrol Car Food Drive takes place with partner Horsham Giant to benefit the St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"We hope to fill more than 20 patrol cars on Saturday," Horsham Community Police Services said. "All food donated will go to help those less fortunate in the greater Horsham area."
Horsham ChATs said that those who cannot make the event on Saturday can still make donations.

Here's how:
- Drop off non-perishable food donations at the rear of St. Catherine's Church. There is a basket there that accepts donations year-round.
- Drop off non-perishable food donations in the donation box located at the lobby entrance to the Horsham Township Building. The entrance is open during normal business hours.
- Drop off a cash donation the day of the event between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and Horsham ChATs will do the shopping for you.
- State residents can mail a donation to: The Horsham Neighbors Association, PO Box 621, Horsham, PA 19044. In the memo, please put Pack the Patrol Car Food Drive.
The donations will be used to shop for needed items during the event. Please note that while HNA is an IRS register 501C3 and a PA-listed charity, they can not accept donations from out-of-state residents. Any out-of-state donation will be returned.
"During these hard economic times, food insecurity is a real issue," Horsham ChATs said.
