Horsham Invests Nearly $1 Million On New Roads, Report Says
Does Horsham need better roads? It's nearly double what was spent in 2015. But officials say the improvements won't come with taxes.

Horsham is planning invest nearly $1 million in improving township roads, according to reports.
The 2016 proposed budget includes $800,000 for road paving, which is nearly double what was spent in 2015, The Intelligencer reports.
“We want to maintain our infrastructure and our roads, and we know we need to put more money into them. While we’ve been aggressive in that regard, we’re going to pick it up a notch,” Bill Walker, the township’s manager, told The Intelligencer.

The township’s 2016 budget plan, which includes $17.1 million in spending, won’t increase real estate taxes and includes the lowest tax rate in the eastern part of Montgomery County, according to the report.
The 2016 budget is reportedly expected to be approved on December 9.
