Horsham Library Celebrates 20-Year Anniversary

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Libraries are community institutions that don't always get the recognition they deserve.

But this past weekend, the Horsham Township Library got just that as township officials and community members celebrated the library's 20th anniversary.

Horsham Township Council members Bill Whiteside, Samantha Slaff, Ellen Zschunke, and Eric Glemser joined staff, the Library Board, the Friends of the Library, and residents to celebrate the milestone.

Township officials recognized the services the library has given to residents over the past two decades.

Besides a building full of books, officials said the library offers a space where "imagination, learning, and the community thrive."

The library has also evolved, adapted, and grown to meet the changing needs of the township's diverse community, programs, resources, and services that empower, inspire, and connect everyone.

"Thank you to everyone who made our library a reality and in shaping what it has become today," officials said. "Here’s to the next 20 years, and to the countless stories, ideas, and connections that will unfold within its walls."

The library thanked the community, the Hatboro-Horsham Jazz Band and Select Choir, and Lolly Hopwood for sharing their talents during the festivities.
