What business are you in?
"We are an apparel decoration company, specializing in screen printing and embroidery. T-shirts, hats, uniforms, bags, etc. However, if it can be printed on we’ll give it a shot. But also worth a mention, is that we are a design-focused company, so in addition to designing unique and original apparel, we offer design services as well."
How did you come up with the name?
"Well, it seemed that our customers were always wanting their shirts at the last minute and we would bend over backwards to meet those deadlines. I always joked with customers… "Fourth and goal? No problem, we live in the Red Zone!” So I liked the pun Threadzone, and the name was born."
Why start a business in this town?
"We had our eye on Horsham because of its central location to a lot of the suburbs and schools we service, and its easy access to 276 for doing deliveries to both east and west Philly. Not to mention all the great businesses and restaurants located here."
What’s the most difficult challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?
"Time management! Trying to remember to take time for myself and my family. Creating a good work-life balance is key to being happy and, to some degree, successful."
What’s been your proudest achievement since opening?
"We have won several awards for our apparel and design, but really my proudest achievement is seeing my longtime dream of starting an apparel company come to fruition. I printed my first shirt at 10 years old."
How does your business give back to the community?
"Currently we support the community through sponsorships and pro-bono work for charities and non-profits. But lately we have been donating our design services to Operation BBQ Relief that is currently deployed in Houston. Not many people realize these organizations have marketing needs to help generate donations and volunteer support. We do what we can."
