Horsham Man Jailed After Allegedly Threatening Wife

Joseph Koffman, 37, has been charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

A Horsham man is facing multiple charges after a domestic incident on Sunday night.

Joseph Paul Koffman, 37, has been charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment, court documents show.

Police told The Intelligencer that Koffman dragged his wife across the floor and threatened her with a knife after she said she wanted a divorce.

Eastern Montgomery County SWAT was reportedly dispatched to the house along with Horsham police. Koffman locked himself inside the house with his daughter following the incident but after authorities arrived, he left the house with his daughter without incident, the Intelligencer reported.

Court documents show Koffman is at Montgomery County Prison after being unable to make bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 16.
