HORSHAM, PA — Police in Horsham are teaming up with Acme Markets to help fight childhood hunger.
The department will be hosting its "Stuff the Police Car" event on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Acme at 200 Blair Mill Rd. At the event, which starts at 10 a.m., community members will be able to donate food items to Hatboro-Horsham based H.A.T Packs.
Helping Around Town (H.A.T.) partners with public schools, community groups, houses of worship, businesses and others to help fill weekend "hunger gaps" for children. The H.A.T. Packs program provides packs filled with non-perishable breakfast, lunch, snack and beverage items to school children and their siblings who face food insecurity.
