Horsham Ranked Among The Safest Places In Pennsylvania

Horsham is among several local communities recently ranked among the safest places in Pennsylvania, according to a report.

Horsham ranked seventh among the safest mid-sized cities (population between 20,000 and 30,000) in Pennsylvania, according to an analysis created by ValuePenguin

Bucks County's Buckingham Township ranked first among the mid-sized cities. Northampton Township, also in Bucks County, was ranked first among large cities (over 30,000 residents). Upper Providence Township was ranked as safest among small cities (10,ooo to 20,000 residents.)

The personal finance company ranked the different towns in the state based on a variety of crime metrics sourced from the FBI.

According to its website, ValuePenguin collected the most recent crime data available from the 2014 FBI crime statistics by city, excluding towns with fewer than 5,000 residents since they are more sensitive to crime score fluctuations for fewer crimes committed. Other nearby towns that made the list include Willistown, Franconia, Lower Salford, Horsham, Haverford, and Upper Providence.
