Horsham Road Dedicated To Fallen Vietnam Soldier

Part of state Route 611 has been renamed in honor of Lt. Joseph C. Park II.

A portion of state Route 611 has been renamed in honor of a fallen Vietnam veteran from Horsham, according to a report by The Intelligencer.

Lt. Joseph C. Park II, an Eagle Scout, as 22 when he was killed in Vietnam in 1968, the report states.

Park was awarded the Purple Heart, the National Defense Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal.

The ceremony to rededicate the road was hosted by Rep. Todd Stephens, R-151, on Thursday at Horsham Friends Meetinghouse.
