Horsham Students Join Effort To Feed The Hungry

The middle schoolers are making ceramic bowls they'll donate to the Empty Bowl benefit on Nov. 12 at Arcadia University.

HORSHAM, PA — Students at Keith Valley Middle School in Horsham are putting their crafting skills to use, working on an effort to feed the hungry.

Empty Bowls is an international effort to fight hunger. Groups and individuals who participate create handcrafted bowls and invite community members to a dinner of soup and bread. Diners make a cash donation for their bowl, and keep it as a reminder about people who don't have enough food.

The money raised is donated to organizations working to end hunger and food insecurity.
