HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Residents woke up to sunny skies Wednesday as the temperatures reached into the mid-40s with plans for higher wind gusts later in the afternoon.

That was quite a change from the heavy rains and high winds on Tuesday. But Horsham Community Police Services said the township weathered the storm.

"Horsham got pretty lucky," Horsham ChATs said in a Facebook post Wednesday. "We had the typical road closures due to flooding."

The Horsham Fire Company assisted the Willow Grove Fire Company on one water rescue call at York and Warminster Roads overnight. There were no water rescue calls in Horsham.

Horsham ChATs said they did receive reports of motorists driving around our barricades.

"That is disturbing," Horsham ChATs said. "The township closes roads only when they become unsafe to traverse."

Horsham ChATs said that for anyone caught driving around a closed road, fines can be upwards of $500.

"You put your life and the lives of those who you'll call to rescue you in jeopardy. In the future to those who may have engaged in this behavior, please don't drive around or move road closure barricades," Horsham ChATs said.
