Nearly 1,000 homes were without power after rain and wind battered Montgomery County.

Nearly 1,000 homes were without power Monday morning after rain and wind battered Montgomery County.
According to PECO, 665 homes remained without power in the county as of 11:30 a.m.
That number is greatly decreased from earlier in the morning, when it was in the thousands.

Horsham, Upper Merion, Lower Merion, Abington, Skippack, Worcester, and Upper Dublin all had significant outages.
According to Horsham Police Community Services, many of the homes impacted in Horsham Township are in the Hidden Creek section.

Restoration times varied by township, but PECO estimated that a bulk of the outages would be repaired by Monday evening.
While high winds continued on Monday, rain is out of the forecast through the rest of the week.
