'I'm Not Hiding' Says Hatboro Councilman That Shot Bank Robber
George Forgeng is being investigated by police after shooting a bank robber on July 8. Meanwhile, it's business as usual.

George Forgeng was in attendance and proceeded as if nothing had changed at the Hatboro council meeting on Monday night.
“I’m not hiding,” he told Philly.com outside Borough Hall before the meeting.
Forgeng is still under investigation in the wake of the shooting of a man who robbed the TD Bank on York Road on the morning of July 8.

Forgeng, 60, shot Kevin Way, 30, after a quarter mile chase ended in a parking lot.

He shot him once in the hand and once in the arm.
Way was treated for non life-threatening injuries at the hospital.
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s office has not yet decided whether or not the shooting was justified, and said that it could be several more days before a decision is reached.
In the meantime, Forgeng, an industrial arts teacher at Bristol High School, is not letting it affect his regular responsibilities.

The incident has sparked heated debate between gun rights and gun control activists, and has proved to a microcosm of a much larger national discourse over the rights of armed citizens and the Second Amendment.
