Investigation Launched Into Weekend Fire At Hatboro Bank

Heavy fire and explosions in the basement of the Hatboro Federal Savings Bank drew dozens of area fire companies to the scene just before noon on Saturday, according to fire officials.

The cause of the fire and explosions is not yet known and is currently under investigation.

Photos from the scene show dozens of firefighters connecting hoses to hydrants and preparing to enter the dark building.

The Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro, the Horsham Fire Company, and nearly 30 other fire companies were on the scene for several hours throughout the hottest park of the afternoon on Saturday.

Business near Hatboro Federal Savings along South York Road were evacuated as well, according to 6 ABC.

On scene from Horsham were Ladder 15, Rescue 15, Engine 15-1 and Deputy 15.
