Key Eastern Montco Road Closing For Construction

EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — PennDOT has announced plans to close a key road in the region next month for an intersection reconstruction project.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the construction will close a section of Blair Mill Road beginning on Friday, June 12.

The closure will impact the communities of Horsham and Upper Moreland townships, but will impact drivers throughout the area.

Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:

• From 6 p.m. Friday, June 12, to 6 a.m. Monday, June 15, Blair Mill Road will be closed and detoured between Gibraltar Road and Route 63 (Welsh Road). During the closure, drivers will be directed to follow the posted detour route.

Local access will be maintained at all times for residences and businesses.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or along the detour route because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
