The phrase, “I would rather kiss a pig” will take on new meaning when business and community leaders step up to kiss a pot-bellied pig while raising awareness and funds to support financial literacy programs in local schools. The kisses will take place at TruMark Financial® Credit Union’s Ninth Annual Kiss-A-Pig Financial Literacy Fundraiser on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 5-7 p.m. at the Abington Art Center, 515 Meetinghouse Road, Jenkintown, Pa.

The fundraiser is a component of TruMark Financial's, Building Financial Futures initiative. The fundraiser brings together educators, community and business leaders, and credit union employees to raise money for the privilege of kissing a pig. Funds raised at this event will allow area schools to provide students with the tools needed to learn the basics of personal finance. This information will help them to make informed financial decisions and help to secure a future of financial success.

Admission is free and all are invited to watch the participants pucker up for a worthwhile cause. 97.5 FM The FANATIC radio personality Marc Farzetta will be the event emcee. Matteo Iadonisi, community journalist, 6ABC Action News, will be a special guest.
