James Faber, who is retiring, received a proclamation from the Horsham Township Council Monday night. His firm was first hired in 1978.

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —For 44 years, James Faber has the township with landscape architectural services.
His firm, McCloskey & Faber, P. C. , was hired by the Horsham Township Council in 1978 to write the township's first landscape ordinance.
While councils changed shape throughout the decades, McCloskey & Faber were involved in every land development application and all revisions and amendments to the township's subdivision, land development ordinance, and zoning ordinance.

"We extend our well-wishes to James Faber in his upcoming retirement and thank Senior Project Manager Kimberli Flanders for her 24 years of service," the township said in a Facebook post.
Township Manager Bill Walker told Patch Tuesday that Flanders was impressed that Horsham Township was always concerned about landscaping, saying a "lot of townships don't care that much."
