Limekiln Road Potholes Getting Fixed In Horsham
PennDOT maintenance crews are out this week making road repairs throughout the five-county Philadelphia region.
HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — With several snowstorms and frigid temperatures this winter, township roads and highways — like all others in the Philadelphia region — have taken a beating.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said maintenance crews will be working to repair deteriorated pavement on 39 state highways this week in Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia counties.
One road on the list is Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) in the township.

The Philadelphia region experiences a high volume of potholes each season due to temperatures fluctuating between freezing and mild, known as a rapid freeze-thaw cycle.
When PennDOT maintenance crews are not providing winter services, they will be focused on patching potholes until all areas are addressed.

Since Jan. 1, PennDOT District 6 has received nearly 900 customer concerns regarding potholes across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Weather permitting, drivers should expect periodic lane closures and possible slowdowns
