Man Stole Computers From Montco Homes While Residents Slept
A man has been charged for breaking into several area homes overnight and stealing cash and personal computers while residents slept.

ABINGTON, PA — A man has been charged for breaking into homes in Abington, Cheltenham, and Philadelphia overnight and stealing cash and personal computers while residents slept, authorities announced Monday.
Kyrell McKoy, 21, of Philadelphia, faces felony counts of burglary, criminal trespass, and several related charges.
The incidents occurred between Oct. 14 and Nov. 10, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

Authorities allege that McKoy canvassed homes around the area and ultimately attempted to break-in or broke in to 20 of them.
McKoy often used a chair, stool, or other item found outside of the home to help him make his way into a first floor or ground level window, police said.

Once inside the target homes, McKoy stole cash, cell phones, and personal computers, often leaving behind wallets, purses, and credit cards, according to the DA's office.
McKoy was arraigned on Nov. 10. Bail was set at $100,000 and he was remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 24.
Assistant DA Benjamin D. McKenna will prosecute the case.
