Man Who Woke Up Residents, Threatened To Shoot Them Arrested In Horsham: Police

A man who entered a home on Aug. 13, woke up the sleeping residents and threatened to shoot them was apprehended in Horsham, police said.

An armed man entered a nearby home in the early hours of Aug. 13, woke up the sleeping residents and threatened to shoot them, police said. The suspect behind the terrifying incident, 39-year-old Michael Tucker, was later apprehended in Horsham, police report.

It happened around 3:47 a.m. on the 400 block of Hopwood Drive in Warminster. Warminster Police were called to the scene for a report of a domestic argument involving a firearm.

When officers got there, the victims said Tucker came to the home, damaged a car in the driveway and came inside the house armed with a handgun. He then allegedly confronted the victims while they were asleep, forcing one of them out of the house gunpoint. He then threatened to shoot the victims, according to information from police.

Tucker fled before the police arrived, but was apprehended in Horsham Township. The firearm has since been recovered by police.

He was arraigned and was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent of $75,000.00 bail. He is charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime, criminal mischief, and harassment.

Tucker's preliminary hearing has been scheduled for late September.
