Mugwort Reappears In Hatboro On Wanted Poster

Hatboro Borough officials are asking residents to look out for the invasive plant and call them if they see it.

HATBORO, PA — An old nemesis has returned to wreak havoc.

Mugwort is considered invasive because it grows rapidly, displaces native species, disrupts the ecosystem's balance, and can trigger allergic reactions for some people.

In response to the recent mugwort reports, borough officials have created an educational campaign asking residents and business owners to report any mugwort they may see on borough property.

Residents can call Borough Hall at 215-443-9100.

Once a report is received, Hatboro Public Works personnel will investigate the possible mugwort during their scheduled weekly maintenance of the parks, and if appropriate, will remove it.
