National Night Out Celebrated In Horsham

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — National Night Out came to the township on Tuesday night to connect the community closer with its law enforcement and first responders.

National Night Out is an annual, nationwide campaign that promotes strong police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie, and brings residents and police together for a night of fun and socialization.

National Night Out events are free, family-friendly, and open to the public.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances, according to the organization's website.

Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August.

Residents met the Horsham Township Police Department, the Horsham Fire Department, and check out EMS, police, and emergency vehicles.

The event featured a Dunk Tank, Inflatables, DJ, free hamburgers and hot dogs, a car show, water ice, Mission BBQ, the Horsham Robotics Club, along with fire prevention information.
