National Night Outs Scheduled In Hatboro, Horsham

Horsham will hold its annual event on Aug. 1 while Hatboro has scheduled Aug. 11. The event raises law enforcement awareness.

HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Hatboro and Horsham have scheduled their National Night Out dates for next month.

Horsham Township will hold its National Night Out from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1, in the Horsham Township Municipal Complex on Horsham Road.

The free event features food, music, inflatables, a car show, Horsham Police Detectives grilling and serving food, the Horsham Fire Company, the Department of Health, a Hatboro-Horsham High School Robotics Club demonstration, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troop activities, fire prevention information and emergency vehicles.

Held in towns around the country, the National Night Out is a community police event aimed at raising awareness of law enforcement.

Meanwhile, in neighboring Hatboro, The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce, the Hatboro Police Department, and the Borough of Hatboro will hold their annual National Night Out event on Friday, Aug. 11.

The event takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Miller Meadow Park on South York Road.

Chamber organizers said residents can meet members of the Hatboro Police Department and the Enterprise Fire Company.

Displays of vehicles and equipment will be set up along with many informational handouts. And the chamber said there's also miniature golf.
