New Contract Approved for Horsham Township Police
Horsham Council unanimously approved a new contract for the local police during a meeting Wednesday.

Months of negotiations concluded Wednesday night with a new three-year agreement for Horsham Township Police.
Horsham Council unanimously approved a new contract for the local police during a meeting Wednesday, the Intelligencer reported. Under the new contract, police salaries will increase by 4 percent, 3.75 percent and 3.5 percent over the next three years, the publication reported.
Under the new agreement, the minimum age for police to receive their full pension will increase from 52 years to 55 years plus 25 years of service, The Intelligencer reported.

Horsham Township Police, headquartered at the Horsham Township Administration Building on Horsham Road, is led by Chief of Police William Daly. It was created in May 1951 and now includes 40 sworn officers that are supported by a seven member dispatch and clerical staff, according to its website.
It has been a Pennsylvania “Accredited Law Enforcement Agency” since 2003.
