HATBORO, PA —The Hatboro Borough Council is expected to name a replacement Monday for Councilwoman Nicole McMenamin, who resigned last month because she's moving out of town.
Borough officials said seven candidates have applied for the position. One candidate is expected to be chosen at Monday's council meeting and take the oath of office.
The new council member will be the second in the past few months due to departures for moves.

The Borough Council is currently comprised of Council President George Bollendorf, Jacobus, A'Harrah, Councilman Alex Myers, Councilwoman Nicole Shay, and Council Vice President Nicole Reichner.
McMenamin led the council's finances/grants and administrative committees so some revamping of council committees will also be needed.
When Stockton departed, Reichner was appointed to serve as vice president.
