New Keith Valley Middle School Project Back On Schedule
School officials said construction of the new $125 million school fell behind a bit in early summer.

HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —It was a little slow going over the summer.
But construction of the new $125 million Keith Valley Middle School is back on track.
At Monday night's Hatboro-Horsham School Board meeting, Facilities Committee Chairwoman Jennifer Wilson requested that payment of $73,382 to cover the cost of rock removal at the east end of the new school. The board unanimously approved the request.

Wilson, the school board's vice president, said the payment would not increase the overall cost of the project since these additional expenditures are already accounted for in the budget.
School Board member DJ Schultz inquired before the vote for a status update on the project.

Bill Stone, the district's director of financial affairs, said that the project was a little bit behind schedule at the start of the summer, but that time was recovered "due to hard work by the contractor."
He also said the school project is under budget and on schedule.
In late May, officials held a groundbreaking for the $125 million new Keith Valley Middle School.
The new school will replace the aging Keith Valley Middle School and is planned to open for the 2025-2026 school year.
After years of studies, a new school was considered the best of several options when the school board voted on the project late last year.
Construction began on the new school earlier this year.
The school district hired Schradergroup Architects to design the building, and D’Huy Engineering to provide construction management services. Click here to learn more about the project.
