Over the years, Ruegg has served as a member of the Montgomery County Swat Team, various special units/task forces for the department, and recently as deputy chief.
"His strong leadership and immense experience make him the perfect Chief for the Hatboro Police Department following the retirement of Chief Gardner," borough officials said. Ruegg constantly puts the safety of the Hatboro community before himself and we cannot think of a better person to lead the Hatboro Police Department."
