New Police Officer Takes Oath In Horsham Township

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —Horsham Township has a new police officer among its ranks.

At last week's Horsham Township Council meeting, new Police Officer Richard Ziegler joined the Horsham Township Police Department.

Ziegler was sworn in by District Justice Todd Stephens.

Ziegler served as a SEPTA Transit police officer for five years before joining Horsham, officials said.

He is a graduate of West Chester University and Roman Catholic High School.

  • The Horsham Township Council meeting was canceled for Monday. The next council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
  • Property taxes are due on Dec. 31. Residents must pay their taxes before noon on Tuesday, Dec. 31. Payment must be made by cash, certified check, or money order only. (No personal checks will be accepted after Dec. 15.)
