The new Horsham Office Park Shuttle (H.O.P.S) is now available to commuters traveling from the SEPTA Fort Washington Regional Rail Station to the Horsham Business Center and PA Lifestyle Campus office parks.

“The township has worked on initiating the shuttle bus project for several years, as businesses and business park owners alike were anxious to see the added benefit of regional rail connectivity and convenience," said Larry Burns, the township's director of community and economic development.

Burns said that the pandemic pushed back the shuttle for a few years "but with employees coming back to the office, it would not be a surprise in the future to see the program grow.”

The 14-seat shuttle is Wi-Fi enabled, has GPS location tracking, is ADA accessible, and has storage space for two bicycles, Burns said. It's also a Green vehicle powered by propane.

He said that some towns provide such shuttle services.

Bucks County runs the DART bus service in the Doylestown/Warrington area. Upper Merion has the Rambler. Conshohocken recently issued a request for a proposal for a “community shuttle,” Burns said.

He said that most are intended for “retail” customers that afford residents better access to shopping.

“HOPS” is geared to support the township’s businesses and business parks, affording employees alternative, and convenient access to their workplaces.

"Whether you live in Center City Philadelphia or Doylestown, New Britain, or Lansdale, you can take HOPS to work going to the Horsham Business Center or Pennsylvania Lifestyle Campus," he said.
