A steering committee of Hatboro residents and business owners has been working on the comprehensive plan, which will provide a framework for Hatboro's future. The plan recommends strategies for Main Street, transportation, government, the environment, land use and more, with a focus on what the borough should be like in the year 2040.

The steering committee also is working on a parks, recreation and open space plan. It includes concept plans for Miller Meadow and Eaton Park and will provide guidance for other park and recreation-related projects in the future.
