Paper Products Producer Moves Headquarters To Horsham

HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —A multi-national manufacturer of paper products has moved its North American headquarters to Horsham.

Sofidel —an Italian multi-national producer of tissue paper for sanitary and domestic use —recently relocated its North American corporate headquarters from Fort Washington in Upper Dublin Township.

“We are proud to add another company headquarters, this time a North American Corporate Headquarters, to Horsham," Township Manager Bill Walker said. "Horsham is a hometown favorite for business and offers a dynamic business environment. Our culture and our DNA is to be business-friendly, very welcoming, and helpful to new companies."

The company brings a little more than 100 employees to its headquarters at 300 Welsh Road on the corner of Welsh and Dresher Road.

Township officials gathered this week to welcome Sofidel, which has its corporate headquarters in Lucca, Italy.

The family-owned company was founded in 1966. It is one of the world leaders in the tissue paper market and the second-largest producer in Europe behind Essity.

Walker said the company started in the U.S. market about a decade ago.

Sofidel has 7,000 employees worldwide and has $3 billion in sales, Walker said.

Walker and Council President Mark McCouch met with Sofidel CEO Luigi Lazzareschi and Fabio Vitali, the company's vice president of marketing.

They were joined by Pam Kelly, chief executive of the Greater Montco Chamber and Larry Burns, Horsham's economic development director.

"We look forward to working with Sofidel and assisting them as they grow," Walker said. "Horsham is a community connected to business.”

Township officials said Sofidel is always looking for people to join its company.
