PennDOT to Host Open House on County Line Road Project

The open house will be held on Nov. 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Horsham Township Community Center.

PennDOT is holding an open house in Horsham to discuss an improvement project planned on County Line Road.

The open house will be held on Nov. 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Horsham Township Community Center, 1025 Horsham Rd.

During the open house, plans will be on display that outline the reconstruction and improvement of County Line Road between Kulp Road and Route 611 in Warrington Township.

Attendees can meet the project design team, view displays showing proposed improvements and discuss details of the project. PennDOT representatives will be on hand to answer questions, take comments and address concerns.

The improvement project will widen 3.3 miles of County Line Road to enhance travel, improve safety and reduce congestion. The project includes the replacement of a bridge over a branch of Little Neshaminy Creek.

The project is currently in preliminary engineering design, PennDOT said. Construction is expected to start in 2018 and finish in 2019. The project is financed with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state funds.

The meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities.
