Philadelphia Eagle Jason Kelce Honored By Hatboro Bakery

HATBORO, PA —Philadelphia Eagles great Jason Kelce may be gone. But he is being remembered by a borough bakery.

Lochel's Bakery —a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles —is making special cookies and cupcakes as a tribute to the center, who announced his retirement after 13 seasons with the team on Monday.

"Everyone is asking and we deliver," the bakery said in a Facebook post.

The bakery said there will be a limited amount of Kelce cupcakes available each day through Sunday.

The bakery is featuring three Kelce cupcakes:

• The Kelce Cream (made with Artifact Brewing brew.)
• Some have chocolate bats (like the Batman mask)
• Some with Philadelphia Eagles decor

The bakery will have a limited number of Kelce cookies available starting at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Bakery Co-owner Kathleen Lochel had previously told Patch that she was sad that the Eagles didn't make a return trip to the Super Bowl.

The bakery saw lots of green as business boomed from the Birds and the bakery made everything with something Eagles on it when the team played the Kansas City Chiefs two Super Bowls ago.

Kelce's much-anticipated retirement decision came during a press conference Monday afternoon at the Birds' NovaCare Complex in south Philadelphia. His mother Donna, wife Kylie, and brother Travis were all in attendance, along with head coach Nick Sirianni and other Eagles leadership.

The seven-time Pro Bowler helped lead the Birds to two Super Bowls, including a victory over the New England Patriots.
