Police Remind Residents to Drive Carefully as Students Head Back to School

Students are exposed to traffic while waiting for buses, walking to the bus stop or walking to school, police remind residents.

Hatboro-Horsham students are back to school and police are reminding residents to drive carefully and be mindful of school bus stopping laws.

“Horsham Police are also asking residents to please drive safely when running late and approaching bus stops to drop off children. If your child is late getting to the bus the 10 feet away laws still apply,” Police announced on Horsham Township’s website.

“Students are exposed to traffic while waiting for buses, walking to the bus stop or walking to school. Motorists are reminded to be cautious and alert when approaching a school bus stop and to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks.”
