Police Seek Suspects Targeting Unlocked Vehicles In Hatboro

Hatboro's Police Chief said Tuesday's incident is related to recent crimes in the borough and neighboring Horsham and Warminster townships.

HATBORO, PA —The Hatboro Police Department is seeking suspects who entered several unlocked parked vehicles early Tuesday morning on Crooked Billet Road.

Police said a resident reported observing two individuals rummaging through his vehicle around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday after being awakened by his dog barking.

The two men were described as wearing dark-colored clothing, dark hoodies, and facemasks. Police said they fled the scene on foot and possibly in an SUV that was parked in the area.

Police did not report whether anything was taken from the vehicles.

Police Chief James Gardner said he believes the incident is related to other cars being entered recently in Hatboro and surrounding municipalities, including neighboring Horsham and Warminster townships.

Horsham Township's police chief issued an alert to residents to take protective measures after recent incidents involving thefts from vehicles and vehicle thefts.

The suspects in these cases have often targeted unlocked vehicles.
