Primark To Open In Willow Grove Park Mall

Willow Grove, PA -- Primark, a European fashion retailer with 310 stores in 11 countries, has announced the opening date of its fifth U.S. location and second in Pennsylvania, at the Willow Grove Park Mall, according to a news release.

Doors will open to customers at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19th, when Primark will bring its signature fashion to the historic shopping destination built on the site of the renowned Victorian-era amusement park that made the town famous.

“We are delighted to further showcase our Primark product offer to the people of Pennsylvania through the opening of our second store in the state, following the launch of our King of Prussia location last year,” said Paul Marchant, Primark Chief Executive, in a prepared statement. “Our Willow Grove Park Mall store opening marks another important step in presenting the Primark brand to U.S consumers and raising awareness of our unique formula of Amazing Fashion, Amazing Prices.”

To meet the needs and interests of Philadelphia area customers, the diverse assortment of womenswear, menswear, children’s wear, home goods, beauty products and gifts will be constantly refreshed across the 58,300 sq. ft. store located on the 2nd and 3rd floors, southwest side of the mall, the release states.

“We have experienced such a positive welcome in Pennsylvania at both our King of Prussia store and the Bethlehem depot, and we look forward to further developing our commitment to the community with the upcoming opening in Willow Grove,” Jose Luis Martinez de Larramendi, President of Primark U.S. was quoted in the news release. “We are already focused on expanding this relationship through concentrated local recruitment efforts, which are currently underway.”

Primark said that they are actively hiring for the Willow Grove Park store at its recruiting center located on the mall’s upper level, next to the carousel.

Primark, which is a subsidiary of Associated British Foods plc, was founded in June 1969 in the Republic of Ireland and now operates from 11.8 million square feet of selling space across 11 countries.
