Registration Open For MontCo Senior Games

The competitions will be held May 6-10 at various locations throughout Montgomery County.

HATBORO, PA — Are you an athletic resident of Hatboro or Horsham who is at least 50 years old? If so, the time is now to sign up to test your mettle against your peers.

Registration opened Friday for the 2019 Montgomery County Senior Games. The competitions will be held May 6-10 at various locations throughout Montgomery County.

Now in their 34th year, the games will include archery, badminton, basketball, billiards, bocce, bowling, croquet, darts, football throw, golf, horseshoes, orienteering, pickleball, running, shuffleboard, softball throw, stationary bike, swimming, table tennis, tennis and walking.

The age group you compete in will be based on your age on Dec. 31 of this year. There are seven age categories: ages 50-59, ages 60-64, ages 65-69, ages 70-74, ages 75-79, ages 80-84 and ages 85 and up.

More than 500 people are expected to participate in the games, according to organizers.

Along with the games, the 3rd Annual Senior Expo will be held at the Montgomery County Community College Health Science Center. The expo will feature demonstrations and numerous vendors. It is held on the last day of the games before a closing lunch.

The participation fee is $10 for Montgomery County residents to compete and $20 to compete and attend the luncheon. Those fees for non-MontCo residents are $15 and $25.
