HATBORO, PA —Joseph Oprysko has a plan to fix the borough.

As borough officials await development projects under its Town Center Ordinance, Oprysko has come up with his own plan to revitalize York Road.

The 12-year resident posted his plan on The Real Voices of Hatboro Facebook page and recently shared it with Patch.

Oprysko said his plan requires a multi-faceted approach considering infrastructure, business development, community engagement, and aesthetics.

  • Pedestrian improvements: Enhance sidewalks, crossings, and accessibility to encourage walking and biking. Consider implementing traffic calming measures to prioritize pedestrian safety.
  • Public transportation: Improve access to public transportation options like buses or shuttles connecting York Road to other areas.
  • Traffic flow: Analyze traffic patterns and consider adjustments to improve flow and reduce congestion. Address any road repair needs.
  • Parking: Assess existing parking options and explore solutions like designated parking zones, multi-level parking structures, or encouraging alternative transportation methods.
