Road Renamed For Horsham Veteran, Killed At 19 In Vietnam

Local lawmakers saluted a Horsham man, killed at 19 in the line of duty, by renaming a stretch of a local road.

HORSHAM, PA -- Local lawmakers saluted a Horsham man, killed when he was 19 in the line of duty, by renaming a stretch of a local road in his honor.

A portion of Blair Mill Road will be named for William Walls, the local hero who sacrificed his life in the Vietnam War, Rep. Todd Stephens announced.

Walls was awarded the Purple Heart Award, National Defense Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign medal for his service.

Rep. Murt joined Stephens in the ceremony on Sunday.

Congressman Brendan Boyle and State Senator Stewart Greenleaf were also on hand to honor Walls.
